DESCRIPTION:Join Nancy Aossey, President of the International Medical Corps, for her presentation "Hope in the Midst of Devastation: Delivering Health Care to the World's Poor." IMC is one of the largest humanitarian organizations offering medical aid to devastated regions around the world. With more than 4,000 staff and volunteers, IMC provides $130 million annually for relief and recovery programs. In the last two decades, IMC has responded to nearly every global emergency, including famine in Somalia, ethnic-cleansing in Bosnia, the Rwandan genocide, the conflicts in Darfur and Uganda, the tsunami in southeast Asia, the Pakistani earthquake, and the cyclone in Myanmar.
